Faith Testimony

What’s Faith Got to Do With It? (Got to do with it, got to do with it... okay, I know—Tina Turner probably just rolled her eyes from heaven. But stick with me!) The answer? Everything. Faith has everything to do with it. In fact, faith is the currency of heaven. You might be wondering, “What in the world does that even mean?” Well, faith is what gives us access to the blessings, provision, healing, and supernatural peace that only God can provide. It’s like a spiritual debit card—except there’s no overdraft, no fraud alerts, and no monthly fees. Just grace. So, what is faith? Faith is believing in God without needing physical proof. It’s knowing in your heart and soul that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, born of a virgin, who lived a sinless life and was crucified for our sins. Faith is trusting that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. You don’t need His birth certificate or a YouTube link to the Resurrection. You just know. I’ve never really “struggled” with f...

Bible, Grief, Repeat

Don—my “Spiritual Father” (yes, I gave him that title, and yes, he owns it proudly)—assigned me the book of Deuteronomy to read. Not once, not twice… but twenty times. You read that right. Twenty. Times. My first thought? “This man has absolutely lost it.” I mean, thirty-four chapters ? Be so for real, Don! I truly thought he was out of his holy mind. So here I am, knee-deep in Deuteronomy for what feels like the 42nd day in the wilderness, still trying to figure out what exactly is happening. But, I will say—some wisdom has started to sneak in. I’ve learned that Deuteronomy was probably one of Jesus’s favorite books from the Torah, which instantly gives it some street cred. I still feel a bit lost reading it, but you know what? That’s okay. There’s a lot of spiritual meat in there, and I’m committed to chewing on it slowly, even if it takes all twenty rounds. For those unfamiliar, Deuteronomy is the last book of the Torah, part of the Old Testament, and written by Moses—...

Christians Are...

Over the past year, since giving my life to Jesus, I’ve found myself in quite a few conversations about how people view Christians. The common themes? “Christians are hypocrites.” “Christians are judgmental.” I’m sure there are other colorful opinions out there, but these two seem to come up the most—and they’ve been sitting on my heart, so here I am. First, let me just lovingly remind you: we are all imperfect people. What?! IMPERFECT?! Yes— you , me , all of us . None of us can ever be perfect. The only person to walk this earth in complete perfection is Jesus. Scripture backs this up in Hebrews 4:14, 1 Peter 2:22, 2 Corinthians 5:21, and 1 John 3:5—Jesus is sinless. Jesus is perfect. We? Not so much. Now, about Christians being hypocritical and judgmental—yep, that’s been true in some cases. But you know what? So are people who aren’t Christians. This isn't a church-exclusive issue. It’s a human issue. And honestly, Satan loves to use that narrative to keep people far from ...
